For this poster I started on the www.meals4kids.org website to copy and paste the three logos needed on the poster. After that I opened a new Adobe Illustrator file and placed a red to white gradient background. Then I just added multiple "eat, film, screen" text boxes from the top of the page going down to create a flow of words. Then for the tomatoes I used the pen tool to shape them, and used multiple layers of opacity and gradient to give the shine look.
In the beginning of the school year I took a class trip to Thayer St. The project we were assigned was to make a logo for Thayer. I made this logo in Illustrator using pen tool. I chose to make a burger and shopping bad because there is a lot of food areas and shopping along the street. The reason I made the text wrap around the two objects because it creates and appealing look, and centralizes your eyes on what Thayer Street is all about: food, fun, friends, and shopping.
Game CardsAs a class we are creating our own style of a game board of Somerset Berkley High School. After discussing ideas we came up with an idea of a candy land style board. Every student was assigned a piece of the school and had to create a landing spot along with two playing cards. I was assigned a classroom, buisness office, computer lab, and the walking track. When making the squares and cards I used Illustrator and transferred my design onto the card so it would match. It took a couple of weeks to complete and was worth it.
Game Board Playing PieceAlso as a class we had to make a piece to play with, and mount it onto a plastic piece made by the 3D printer. I decided to take a different approach on my piece, I used my dog as the main point. While others in the class used themselves I decided I should create a different style since in game boards not all the pieces usually match. To make it I went into Photoshop and lasso tooled around my dogs head in the picture and modified a few things to make sure it looked neat. After that I moved it over to Illustrator and outlined it in blue pen, and used the shape tool (oval) around it to define it. I also added in the SB and text to relate it back to the game board, cause that's what it is all about.
